Overview
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsibilities
- Perform painting work including surface preparation priming and applying paint or coatings to walls ceilings doors woodwork metal and other surfaces.
- Conduct polishing and varnishing of furniture wooden panels decorative items and fittings to maintain or restore shine and appearance.
- Repair minor cracks dents or damages on walls and furniture before painting or polishing.
- Ensure all painting and polishing materials are used and stored properly following safety guidelines.
- Mix and match paint colors stains or varnishes as per job requirement.
- Carry out touch-up work in guest rooms public areas and back-of-house areas as per schedule or request.
- Protect surrounding areas during work to prevent staining paint splashes or damage.
- Ensure all assigned maintenance tasks are completed within the scheduled timeframe and with a high level of workmanship.
- Maintain proper documentation of work orders material usage and job completion records.
- Coordinate with other technicians or departments for joint tasks or access.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE while on duty.
- Apply paint stain and other finishes to property walls ceilings and furniture using brushes spray guns or rollers.
- Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats. Remove old finishes by stripping sanding wire brushing burning or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
- Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
- Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
- Coordinate with vendor in order to modify colors of paint stain or varnish.
Qualifications
- Education: Technical Trade or Vocational School Degree.
- Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
- Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
- License or Certification: None
