We Are Hiring: Operating Room Nurse Manager
Location: Nauru Medical Centre, Republic of Nauru

Nauru Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and dynamic Operating Room (OR) Nurse Manager to lead our surgical nursing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing nursing staff, ensuring patient safety, and overseeing all nursing activities within the Operating Room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and support the nursing team in the Operating Room (OR).
  • Ensure compliance with international surgical safety standards, infection control, and hospital policies.
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth and efficient surgical services.
  • Monitor availability, maintenance, and safe use of surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and ongoing professional development for OR nurses.
  • Maintain accurate nursing and patient care documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred).
  • Valid Nursing License/Registration.
  • Minimum 7 years of hospital experience, with at least 3 years in an OR leadership or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, infection control, and patient safety.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
