Job summary

An oil and gas company in Dubai is seeking a proactive Logistics Assistant to manage shipments and customs clearance. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Logistics and 0.5-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the UAE. Responsibilities include coordinating daily logistics tasks, liaising with suppliers and customs, and maintaining accurate records. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems is essential, along with a valid UAE Driving License. Communication skills in English and Arabic are preferred, with additional language skills as a plus.

Qualifications

  • 0.5-2 years of logistics experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in Dubai.
  • UAE Driving License is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day to day tasks including shipment follow-up and reporting.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
  • Organize and track shipments and heavy equipment.
  • Prepare RFQs and negotiate with vendors.
  • Prioritize urgent shipments for critical operations.
  • Maintain records of contracts and documents.
  • Update ERP/Logistics systems and documents.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
