We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our IWPB team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Role responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Be a Business Development Manager for UAE NRI Representative Office, responsible for acquiring new-to-bank (NTB) Premier clients through external collaboration, activity and engagement and drive Net New Money (NNM) growth by identifying and converting affluent individuals into HSBC Premier relationships. The role focuses on sourcing, onboarding, and activating high-net-worth clients while ensuring compliance, and delivering an exceptional service experience.
  • Identify, prospect, and onboard new Premier clients with a focus on affluent and emerging affluent individuals.
  • Leverage internal and external lead sources, networking, and market intelligence to generate a strong pipeline.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly targets for Net New Money inflows.
  • Encourage clients to fund accounts promptly post-onboarding and deepen wallet share.
  • Plan and/or participate in desk installations at third party/industry events and corporate offices.
  • Address customer queries with information available in the public domain, and assist with account opening if the customer wishes to proceed.
  • For enquiries from campaigns, local marketing activities and other initiatives, the representative office staff will call on such leads to understand needs, address queries, and assist with account opening.
  • Stay up to date on India services as available on HSBC public websites to effectively address customer queries.
  • Refer any queries pertaining to products/services not listed on HSBC public website to the India HSBC team, maintaining a clear record of referrals as per process.
  • Assist customers with account opening, including form filling and documentation verification.
  • Assist customers with activating their accounts, including digital activation, debit card activation and initial funding as per bank norms.
  • Servicing and redressal of customer-specific queries.
  • Ensure cross-border guidelines of HSBC are strictly adhered to at all times.
  • Respond to customer complaints in a timely manner and to customer satisfaction.
Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

Knowledge / Experience

  • Graduation degree is a must – to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years in banking sales experience or equivalent i.e. Business Development role
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision and guidance.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Customer-driven with a strong focus on quality of service and business development.
  • Planning and organizing, displays a strong sense of accountability.
