Overview

Westaffed is seeking a dedicated and compassionate NICU Nurse to join our specialized neonatal care team. As a NICU Nurse, you will provide high-quality care for critically ill or premature infants in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. You will work closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to monitor the health status of newborns, administer medications, perform assessments, and assist with various medical procedures. Your role will also include educating and supporting families during this challenging time, providing them with the information and resources needed to navigate their infant's care. Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill or premature infants in the NICU.
  • Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform medical interventions as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate and support families about their infant's condition, treatment options, and care progress.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Participate in rounds, case discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated on best practices and evidence-based care in neonatal nursing.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license to practice in the state.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a NICU or neonatal nursing environment.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required.
  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
