Responsibilities

• Accurately assign and verify medical codes (ICD‑10‑CM, CPT, HCPCS) based on patient medical records, physician documentation and treatment procedures.
• Review and analyze clinical documentation to ensure completeness, consistency and compliance with coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and billing staff to clarify medical diagnoses and procedures when documentation is unclear.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and UAE healthcare data protection regulations.
• Ensure timely submission of coded records to billing and insurance departments to support prompt claims processing.
• Identify and correct coding discrepancies, inconsistencies or potential billing errors before claims are processed.
• Stay updated on changes in coding standards, regulatory updates and healthcare policies relevant to medical coding.
• Participate in internal audits and quality assurance reviews to maintain coding accuracy and compliance.
• Support the continuous improvement of coding workflows and documentation practices within the organization.

Requirements
