Job description

ACWA Power is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our site-based team in the UAE. This is a key role in maintaining and improving cutting-edge renewable energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the maintenance of rotating and mechanical systems, ensuring high reliability and availability of plant equipment
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including major shutdowns and overhauls
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis on mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
• Oversee condition monitoring programs (vibration, oil, thermography, ultrasound)
• Support design reviews, modifications, and upgrades of rotating machinery
• Collaborate with OEMs, EPC contractors, and internal teams to ensure technical compliance and performance
• Ensure proper documentation and maintenance records are maintained in SAP and CMMS systems
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with HSE and plant performance targets

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Relevant experience in rotating equipment within the power or energy sector
• Solid understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies
• Hands-on experience with SAP or other CMMS tools
• Strong troubleshooting, planning, and communication skills
