Mechanical Design Engineer

Location:

UAE

Key Responsibilities and Authorities:

1. Designs and develops mechanical product components from concept through production.
2. Conducts design analysis and optimization of mechanical components, considering manufacturability and cost.
3. Selects components and materials based on specifications and reliability analysis.
4. Utilizes CAD software such as 3D modeling, FEM analysis (e.g., ANSYS), and AutoCAD for design and development.
5. Develops mechanical design documentation including drawings and specifications.
6. Prepares assembly manuals, procedures, and instructions; may train operations and maintenance personnel.
7. Develops and tests models of alternative designs and processing methods to assess feasibility and performance.
8. Coordinates with material suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers to ensure high-quality product creation.
9. Keeps updated with technological and regulatory developments.
10. Collaborates with the production department to assist in startup and process optimization.
11. Participates in investigating equipment failures.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical design, with proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, ANSYS, and AutoCAD.
• Experience in detailed design, full set of drawings, BOM, design calculations, and validation/optimization processes.
• Knowledge in designing pigging tools and pressure spools, with analysis experience in SolidWorks and ANSYS, is advantageous.
• Exposure to design and manufacturing environment.
