Job description

Research Associate
The Mechanical as well as Aerospace Design Division at the United Arab Emirates College is seeking a Research Study Partner in the area of Computational Liquid Characteristics (Ansys), Energy Harvesting, Fluid Mechanics, and Fluid-Structure Interactions.

Project Details
  1. Investigates styles and effects of resonances created by liquids, bluff bodies, and harvesting using piezoelectric materials.
  2. Develops low-power microcontrollers and sensors, utilizing ultra-low-power wireless technologies to replace batteries with locally collected energy for powering sensing and communication devices.
Candidate Requirements
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Ability to develop, design, test, and analyze data from experiments.
  • Experience in wireless equipment design is a plus.
Contract Details

Initial appointment for 1 year, renewable up to 2 years. Only online submissions accepted. Shortlisted candidates will be notified via email for a Skype interview.

Minimum Qualifications
  • M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, C++, Ansys, CFD, and CFX.

  • Experience in design, analysis, and simulation of power harvesting systems.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Mechanical Design or related area.

  • Advanced skills in Ansys and MATLAB/programming.
