Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable NavCom Service Engineer to install, commission, service, and troubleshoot marine navigation and communication systems onboard vessels. The role involves providing onboard technical support, ensuring regulatory compliance, and responding to both planned service activities and emergency breakdowns at local and regional ports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot marine navigation and communication equipment, including Radar, ECDIS, Gyro Compass, AIS, VDR, and GMDSS.
  • Provide onboard technical support to vessels at local and regional ports as per operational requirements.
  • Perform inspections, testing, calibration, and fault diagnosis of navigation and communication systems.
  • Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with IMO, SOLAS, Class, and Flag State regulations.
  • Coordinate with ship staff, port authorities, and internal office teams to execute service activities efficiently.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, test records, and job completion documentation.
  • Attend emergency breakdowns and support time-critical service calls when required.
Requirements
