Overview
The Managing Director is responsible for commercial growth (P&L), operational performance, regulatory alignment, and client relationships. You will lead the UAE go-to-market strategy, targeting banks, telcos, utilities, and BNPLs, spearheading expansion beyond the existing partnership, and ensuring the execution of a relationship-driven enterprise entry model suited to the UAE market's dynamics.

Our client is a global leader in digital, compliance-led collections, with the world's most innovative enterprises modernizing recovery, protecting brand equity, and transforming the customer experience. They are now bringing that model to the UAE through a new joint venture anchored by a large local bank.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the UAE market strategy, calibrated for a traditional-industry client mix and longer enterprise procurement cycles.
- Own full P&L responsibility for the UAE market, including revenue, costs, and profitability targets.
- Accelerate growth through deep relationships across banks, telcos, utilities, BNPLs, and other regulated lenders.
- Serve as the senior enterprise face of the company in the region, building trust with C-level leaders, regulators, and strategic partners.
- Lead development of a high-quality commercial pipeline beyond the existing one (bank) through your existing network, targeted enterprise outreach, and relationship-based selling.
- Oversee the activation, onboarding, and performance of the partnership as the anchor client, ensuring strong delivery, compliance, and satisfaction.
- Hire, develop, and manage the local BD Lead and future UAE team members.
- Ensure regulatory alignment across data sovereignty, digital collections standards, and client-specific compliance requirements.
- Partner with global product and operations to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement for UAE clients.
- Report market insights, commercial progress, pipeline health, forecast performance, and operational KPIs to global leadership and JV stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership experience in collections, financial services, BNPL, telco credit, or enterprise B2B environments in the UAE.
- Demonstrated success in selling and delivering enterprise services to banks, telcos, or other regulated institutions.
- A strong, established network across senior credit, collections, risk, and operations leaders in the UAE – essential for accelerating early pipeline.
- Experience owning a P&L, managing teams, and operating in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.
- Ability to navigate enterprise sales cycles, regulatory requirements, procurement processes, and multi-stakeholder negotiations.
- Deep understanding of UAE credit operations, collections practices, compliance requirements, and market norms.
- Entrepreneurial mindset; track record of building new markets or business units from the ground up.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence executives internally and externally.
