The Position

Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Manager to join the resort’s Stewarding team.

The Primary Duties And Responsibilities Of This Role Are

• Assist and support the Assistant Director to plan and oversee kitchen cleanliness and sanitation activities
• Schedule and conduct daily kitchen inspections to monitor conformance to health and fire department regulations
• Arrange and oversee maintenance of all banquet equipment, both stationery and portable
• Maintain inventory control and order equipment and supplies to support the Catering and Culinary Departments, within budget
• Assist with banquet plate-ups, transport, and stock of items, provide support to chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks, and coordinate with other departments to ensure all service needs are met
• Enforce strict cleanliness and hygiene standards in all food preparation and service areas, adhering to protocols like HACCP and local regulations.
• Provide supervision, direction and leadership to Stewards to achieve department goals
• Coach, motivate, counsel and evaluate staff
• Conduct daily briefings and disseminate Company information to staff
• Participate in the Company recycling program and follow strict discipline to reduce, re-use and recycle wherever possible
• Assist in analyzing and controlling costs related to cleaning supplies, equipment breakage, and silverware loss, implementing measures to reduce waste
• Familiarity with health, safety, food sanitation, and HACCP standard

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• 4 years of Steward Management experience in a five-star hotel preferred.
