Job summary

A leading retail group is seeking a Procurement/Sourcing professional to develop and deliver category-specific sourcing strategies across various industries. The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years of experience in Procurement, especially in Civil and MEP projects. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or an MBA. Strong project management and communication skills are essential for success in this role, along with knowledge of e-Procurement tools like SAP ARIBA.

Role & responsibilities

• Work with the Indirect Sourcing Team to build category-specific short, medium, and long-range sourcing strategies
• Negotiation of techno-commercial terms with suppliers for various categories.
• Complete knowledge of E-Procurement tools, RfX, online auctions and tendering.
• Develop & deliver sourcing strategies across the group companies
• Conduct Spend analysis of indirect spend on regular basis and drive cost optimization projects
• Drive procurement efficiencies including improvement of existing practices and develop SOP and plans to achieve results in ever changing business priorities
• Alignment of procurement processes and practices with multiple stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes
• Supplier relationship management with strategic suppliers
• Run RFQ process and lead negotiations for consolidated requirements across geographies.
• Develop samples from prospective new vendors and conduct quality evaluation workshops with the concept teams
• Finalize rates cards for each input vendor and communicate to concept sourcing teams
• Interface and problem solve with cross functional teams on any product/quality issues
• Establish & execute time and action timelines for each buying season

Preferred candidate profile

• 5-6 years of work experience in Procurement/ Sourcing in industries like Construction, FMCG, Retail. Preference for candidate who has worked in construction or retail industry mainly for Civil and MEP projects related to Warehouse and office
• Bachelors degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering / MBA Qualification from reputed institute
• Professionals with Certified Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) as an added qualification, if any.
• Knowledge of e-Procurement, RFX, e-Auctions, ERP Platform- SAP ARIBA or Oracle R Fusion
