Qualifications

The Role

The Manager – Electrical Maintenance is responsible for directing, controlling and supervising the installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and modification of a wide range of electrical equipment, control panels and power distribution systems within the plants and workshops. The role also involves providing technical guidance on all maintenance-related activities, including evaluating modifications, reviewing new project proposals, assessing equipment performance, and overseeing preventive and predictive maintenance as well as TPM initiatives. The Manager is expected to minimize maintenance costs while ensuring that all maintenance services are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with standards. In addition, the position is responsible for activities related to ISO 500001.

What You Will Be Doing

Project Management:

• Initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing the work of a team to achieve specific goals and meet specific success criteria at the specified time.
• Work with multiple departments and disciplines to confirm project scope and requirements
• Plan and schedule project timelines. Set and continually manage project expectations
• Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions
• Budget development, forecasting, and management
• Provide direction and support to the electrical project team
• Maintains safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations
• Erection and Commissioning of New machines : Responsible for monitoring erection, installation and commissioning of new equipment’s/ systems to ensure compliance with design specification and safety codes, devise and outline maintenance procedures for electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment.

Maintenance :

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate all preventive, scheduled, and breakdown maintenance activities for electrical equipment, control panels, distribution transformers, main distribution boards, power factor correction panels, earthing systems, etc., utilizing both in-house teams and external experts as required.
• Ensure uninterrupted operation of critical machinery such as crushers, clay ball mills, dry pendula mills, spray dryers, horizontal driers, hydraulic presses, decoration lines, digital printing machines, roller buffers, roller kilns, and packing lines, maintaining 24/7 availability to support smooth production processes.
• Ensure the availability of proper tools and maintenance equipment, while strictly adhering to accident-free and safe maintenance practices.

Inventory Control :

• Maintain stock of critical spare parts, Consumable spares etc. that is required for replacement / modification due to obsolete parts or equipment.
• Ensure that these spares are available at all times to ensure that the manufacturing plants are running 24/7 guarantying continuous production.

Safety Norms:

• Implementing safety practice (wear safety harness, helmet, etc.) during machine erection and breakdown to avoid accident and loss of life, especially during work at height, with the help of EHS department personnel, present at site work.

Managing of Electronic Cell and Central Rewinding:

• Supervise & Manage Electronic cell and Central Rewinding cell to make sure that the maintenance of the electronic and electrical items are done to the required standard. Initiate request for electronic testing instruments, rewinding materials, etc. and maintain spares for the all the equipment’s and Central Rewinding Cell.

PLC programing:

• Manage ,copy, modification of PLC program as per our requirements without disturbing the equipment’s safety norms

Monitor & Review various Records:

• Monitor various records such as Plant Daily Breakdown report, Daily Energy Consumption report, weekly saving report of Electronic Cell in cases of repaired defective electronic spare parts, Monthly report of Central Rewinding Workshop of motors re-winded etc.

Technical Modification & Cost saving projects:

• Develop systems and processes that track and optimize the productivity of the electrical Systems and machines, its standards and the performance targets to ensure effective return on assets. Stay up to date with the latest trends in Power plant technologies. Initiate various cost savings projects from time to time with an aim to reduce cost and save time through the process of manufacturing.
