Job description

Are you a strategic finance leader with deep expertise in IFRS, consolidation, and governance? Join our dynamic team as a Manager – Accounting & Control, where you'll drive financial excellence across a diverse IDO Group portfolio.

Job Purpose:

As a key member of the Finance division, you will be responsible for:

  • Financials: Publishing standalone and consolidated financials for IDO and its group entities.
  • Budgeting: Preparing and analyzing departmental budgets for IDO and its subsidiaries.
  • Reporting: Delivering timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financials in compliance with IFRS and internal policies.
  • Policies & Procedures: Enhancing processes to align with IDO’s governance framework.
  • Taxation: Establishing and managing direct and indirect tax processes, including Corporate Tax and VAT.
  • Compliance: Ensuring financial and taxation compliance across IDO.
  • ERP Optimization: Standardizing and maximizing ERP utilization across the group.
  • Training & Support: Leading process improvement initiatives and training the team on new reporting requirements.
  • FP&A Collaboration: Supporting the Accounting & Control and FP&A functions across IDO Group.

Core Responsibilities:

Accounting & Control:

  • Design and implement IFRS-compliant policies and procedures.
  • Oversee financial closing, audit coordination, and reporting accuracy.
  • Ensure intercompany reconciliations and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Manage valuation, derivative accounting, and document repository.
  • Optimize ERP usage and master data integrity.
  • Oversee treasury and payroll compliance.

Budget:

  • Lead budget preparation and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Validate departmental inputs and monitor ERP budget integration.
  • Deliver monthly variance analysis and reporting.

Consolidation:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financials.
  • Coordinate with holding companies and ensure audit completion.
  • Guide subsidiaries on consolidation standards and fair value assessments.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on IFRS and tax law changes.
  • Drive automation and database management initiatives.

Team Management:

  • Lead and develop the Accounting & Control team.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and IFRS training.
  • Ensure timely delivery of team responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance.
  • CA, ACCA, or CPA from a recognized institution.
  • 8–10 years in a large conglomerate, PE, SWF, or Big 4.
  • Strong IFRS expertise and practical implementation.
  • Experience in team management and complex transaction advisory.
  • Proficiency in SAP/Oracle preferred.
