A global chemicals company in Sharjah is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure equipment upkeep and conduct preventive maintenance. The ideal candidate will have an ITI/Diploma in Electrical and 3 years of experience in the Paint/Chemical industry, with skills in troubleshooting VFD panels and electrical systems. Job description
Overview

This is your opportunity to be part of a dynamic team

In this role you will be entrusted to ensure the upkeep of plant equipment and carry out preventive/corrective maintenance to improve productivity of manufacturing facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for upkeep of plant equipment and carryout preventive/corrective maintenances to improve productivity of manufacturing facilities.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) & Safety regulations in day-to-day activities.
  • Complete assignments on a day-to-day basis and report deviations and take necessary actions.
  • Coordinate with production & logistics teams and external contractor teams for specialized system maintenance and project execution.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance engineering work including review of mechanical and electrical engineering specifications, performing engineering review of proposed new equipment designs to assess reliability, ease of maintenance and availability of replacement parts.
  • Liaise with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections, and supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules.
  • Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.

The role will be based in Sharjah (UAE) and will collaborate with the Maintenance Engineer.

Qualifications
  • ITI/DIPLOMA in Electrical
  • 3 years hands-on experience in Paint/Chemical industry would be ideal
  • Troubleshooting with VFD Panels and starters like DOL RDOL STAR-DELTA
  • Testing of LT Panels, PCCs, MCCs & Capacitor Banks
  • Phenomenal teammate and possess interpersonal skills
  • Should possess practical knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
  • Should have English proficiency - Speak, Read & Write
