Job Purpose
To act as the focal point for internal safety, quality, and compliance oversight within Line Maintenance. The role enhances safety and operational reliability by identifying risks, managing non-compliance, and coordinating closely with the SMS and Quality departments to embed continuous improvement and promote a strong safety culture.
Key Result Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance Oversight
- Monitor compliance with CAR-145, CAR-M, MOE, and all relevant regulatory and company standards.
- Ensure that line maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with approved procedures and safety principles.
- Support the integration of ICAO SMS principles into daily operations.
Auditing & Inspection
- Plan, lead, and conduct internal safety and quality controls focused on line maintenance operations.
- Coordinate with Safety, QA, and Engineering teams to avoid duplication and define clear scope of audits.
- Conduct routine inspections, walkarounds, and spot checks to assess adherence to procedures and standards.
- Accurately document audit findings and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
Risk Identification & Mitigation
- Analyze audit outcomes, SMS reports, and operational data to identify emerging risks.
- Propose and follow up on risk mitigation and corrective/preventive actions to prevent incidents or recurrence.
- Track and ensure closure of audit findings and safety concerns assigned to Line Maintenance.
Incident Investigation & Reporting
- Participate in incident investigations, supporting root cause analysis and development of effective corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Safety and QA departments to ensure that investigations are completed to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of findings and reports.

Process Improvement
- Utilize safety and audit data to propose process enhancements aimed at improving safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Drive and support continuous improvement initiatives within Line Maintenance.
Safety Promotion
- Promote a proactive safety culture across line maintenance teams through engagement, awareness campaigns, and communication.
- Support and deliver safety briefings and training sessions (e.g., human factors, SMS principles, procedural compliance).
- Provide technical and procedural safety advice to engineers, supervisors, and technicians as needed.
Coordination & Communication
- Serve as the interface between Line Maintenance and the Safety, Quality Assurance, and Engineering departments.
- Participate in safety committees, audits, or working groups as directed by management.
People Management
- Provides direction, coaching and guidance to team members for their career and professional development.
- Creates a conducive working environment to build and sustain a performance driven, engaged, and committed team.
- Ensures people management responsibilities are handled effectively in line with company procedures.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- GCAA Part-66 B1/B2 license and A320ceo/neo endorsed.
- Strong knowledge of ICAO SMS framework, CAR-145, CAR-M, and MOE requirements.
- Familiarity with airline maintenance system - AMOS
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of aviation regulations, audit processes, and compliance requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to identify gaps, non-compliance, or unsafe practices in day-to-day operations.
- Analytical Thinking: Competent in trend analysis, root cause identification, and risk-based thinking.
- Understanding of aviation safety, human factors, and regulatory compliance.
- Collaboration: Works cross-functionally with QA, Safety, Engineering, and Line Maintenance teams.
- Reporting: Skilled in writing clear, factual, and structured reports for audits and investigations.
- Continuous Improvement: Passionate about raising standards and leading process improvement initiatives.

Work Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in aircraft line maintenance as certifying staff
