Job description

The Landscape Architect will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of landscape projects at construction sites. This role involves collaborating with various professionals including contractors, developers, and engineers to ensure that landscape designs are executed according to plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Planning: Conduct high-level and constructability reviews of landscape designs to ensure they meet client requirements and project specifications.
  2. Project Supervision: Oversee the construction and installation of landscape projects, ensuring adherence to design plans and quality standards.
  3. Coordination: Collaborate with contractors, developers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  4. Site Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design plans and safety regulations.
  5. Problem Solving: Address issues or challenges during construction, including weather delays, budget overruns, or disputes among staff.
  6. Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns or questions.
  7. Documentation: Review project documentation, including design plans, specifications, reports, and contractor submissions such as shop drawings, material submittals, RFI, and method statements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in landscape architecture with a focus on construction supervision.

Skills:

  • Strong design and planning skills, excellent communication and coordination abilities, and proficiency in project management software.
