Overview

Due to growth, Bloom World Academy is seeking a skilled and service-oriented IT Technician to support the school’s IT infrastructure and technology requirements. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional to play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of hardware, software and networks across the school, while providing exceptional support to students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first- and second-line technical support to staff and students, resolving IT issues efficiently.
  • Install, configure and maintain IT equipment, including computers, tablets, printers, projectors, smartboards and AV systems.
  • Support classroom technology and educational software, ensuring that teaching and learning are fully enabled by IT systems.
  • Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues, including LAN, WLAN and internet services.
  • Assist with managing user accounts, access rights and email systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets and ensure systems are kept secure and up to date.
  • Provide technical support for school events, presentations and meetings.
  • Collaborate with the IT Manager on system upgrades, projects and improvements.
Required Candidate Profile
  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in an IT support or technician role (experience in an educational setting is an advantage).
  • Proficient in Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft 365 and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software and peripheral devices.
  • Familiarity with classroom technology such as projectors, interactive whiteboards and learning platforms is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support users of all technical levels.
  • Organised, proactive and able to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, reliability and a solutions-focused approach.
