Job summary

A leading IT service provider in Dubai is looking for an IT Support Specialist to proactively resolve software and hardware issues. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge of various operating systems, and excellent communication for customer service. A Bachelor's degree and a UAE driver's license with a car are mandatory for supporting site offices. The candidate will also maintain inventory, assist in IT applications, and ensure network security.

Job Description

• Proactively resolve software and hardware problems, through on-site support/remote assistance by liaising with central IT support helpdesk within a limited timeframe to ensure client satisfaction.
• Liaise with Network engineers to provide suitable network access and any changes in the existing network due to business requirements as per set procedures.
• Co‑ordinate with suppliers and vendors to resolve issues as per agreed SLA’s.
• Assist the team with the implementation of IT business applications across the organisation and provide relevant information for flawless execution during the implementation phase (as and when required).
• Collect and gather business information for IT requirements and prepare primary reports for the team.
• Contribute to the development of knowledge databases to facilitate the collection and storage of common issues and problems faced by users and their responses for providing a clear picture of the critical issues and recommend solutions for the same.
• Maintain accurate and monthly inventory of all company IT equipment and prepare inventory status reports.
• Handle preventive repair & maintenance of all IT equipment of the organisation to avoid any breakdown of equipment for the smooth running of the business.
• Provide oversight and guidance to the team to resolve ongoing IT operational issues.
• Oversee and reconcile email account licenses.
• Gather, analyse, and process business requirements of IT Infrastructure to set up new site offices, existing setup changes, and cancellation of services which includes site survey, Bill of Quantity (BoQ) of IT items, Service Request forms with business approval, internet package, internal cabling, laptops, printers, telephones, emails, mobile SIM cards etc.
• Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems.
