Description

Kroll is looking for an Intern to join our Financial Services Compliance and Regulation practice for three months to assist asset managers, PE firms, investment firms and other regulated financial services clients to obtain initial authorisations or registrations and conduct audits and independent reviews. Our team also provides ongoing outsourced compliance support and regulatory advice to help navigate the rapidly changing regulatory landscape.

NAVIGATING RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement specific solutions suitable for the various missions and different clients involving preparing the set of procedures a risk map control notes or any other document intended for our clients;
  • Ensure proactive regulatory monitoring through training and meetings as well as through writing supervisory articles or notes on the new regulations applicable;
  • Enter into contact with national and international regulatory bodies as well as professional associations in the financial sector;
  • Prepare responses to invitations to tender;
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in other EMEA jurisdictions on engagements and on business development initiatives;
  • Gather and analyze information relevant to the controls to be formalized;
  • Develop and keep up to date the internal tools of the FSCR Dubai office;
ESSENTIAL TRAITS
  • Knowledge of the regulations applicable to asset management and investment banks;
  • Knowledge of the operation of the financial markets;
  • A capacity for clear and logical reasoning skill in taking decisions and articulating them clearly;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic;
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure;
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited university or college with a focus on economics, business studies, mathematics, law etc.;
  • Ability to prioritize several projects and assignments on multiple topics while meeting tight deadlines;
  • Computer proficiency and ability to maximize applications such as Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Word;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities;
  • Experience working with diverse teams;
