Job description

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Designer to join our team in Abu Dhabi for a major onshore oil and gas project. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the engineering phase including FEED and detailed design ensuring compliance with client standards and industry best practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop instrumentation design deliverables such as:
    • Instrument location layouts
    • Cable routing layouts
    • Junction box layouts
    • Hook-up drawings
    • Instrument installation details
    • Loop diagrams and wiring drawings
  • Prepare material take-offs (MTO) for instrumentation and installation works
  • Coordinate with engineering and other discipline teams to ensure design consistency
  • Work closely with Instrumentation Engineers to translate technical requirements into design drawings
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards and project specifications
  • Review vendor drawings and incorporate vendor data into design packages
  • Participate in design reviews model reviews (if applicable) and interface meetings
  • Ensure all designs comply with project HSE requirements

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in instrumentation design with significant exposure to onshore oil and gas projects
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in FEED Detailed Engineering and Detailed Design
  • Proficiency in relevant design software (AutoCAD SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI/INtools) or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with international standards and ADNOC design specifications is highly desirable
  • Diploma or Technical Certification in Instrumentation or related field
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
