A leading company in HSE services is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to design and implement the HSE Management System. Responsibilities include defining HSE standards, overseeing performance in corporate and site locations, and promoting quality achievement. LIN SCAN HSE Engineer

LIN SCAN is searching for an HSE Engineer who will be in charge of the design and implementation of the HSE Management System. The objective is to become progressively more effective in quality terms and in meeting both regulatory and accreditation requirements. The HSE Engineer will define HSE Standards for all systems, promote quality achievement, and improve performance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities & Authorities
  • Defining Policies & Strategies for HSE that are reported to Top Management
  • Setting standards for health, safety and environment
  • Defining competencies for HSE Department team members
  • Overseeing performance of all HSE aspects in the Corporate Office and at site
  • Promoting competency development of personnel in the scope of HSE
  • Approving procedures for the company manual & IT ERP
  • Designing and implementing all HSE activities
  • Recommending resources and budgets (including personnel) to Top Management
  • Training personnel in process areas including internal auditors (including HSE)
  • Approving all documents and records pertaining to HSE
  • Implementing all applicable HSE standards
  • Deciding on non‑conformities with the Quality Team
  • Formatting & approving effectiveness of actions taken against non‑conformities
  • Identifying new concepts in HSE and implementing suitable ones
  • Monitoring the performance of internal auditors
  • Conducting all types of Quality/HSE audits within the Company with Quality personnel
  • Developing and executing the HSE Plans
Skills/Experience
  • University Degree in Engineering (Industrial / Mechanical / Electromechanical / Electrical)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HSE activities in Manufacturing, Engineering or Oil & Gas Industry
  • International exposure
  • Very good communication skills
  • Certification: Lead Auditor ISO 45001, Nebosh HSE certification, NDT L2
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb, maneuver within a refinery or plant, access elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells
  • Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing to communicate effectively
  • Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively
  • Safety Equipment: Must wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection in manufacturing environments
  • Personal Mobility and Reflexes: Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform office duties and travel to off‑site locations when necessary
