Job summary

A leading power and HSE management firm is looking for an HSE Engineer in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of relevant experience, including NEBOSH certification, and expertise in power substations. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining HSE policies, conducting safety training sessions, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The position offers opportunities to lead and support HSE initiatives on-site.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in UAE.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is essential.
• Experience with power substations and overhead transmission lines.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the company HSE policy and procedures.
• Conduct HSE awareness sessions and toolbox talks with the workforce.
• Regularly inspect the project site to ensure safety compliance.

Description

Job Purpose

Assist in general risk assessments and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management. Observe HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel, also take immediate action to correct safety rule

Key Accountabilities

• Implement and Maintain company HSE policy, procedures and the project HSE plan.
• Conduct HSE awareness sessions, Toolbox talks to workforce under his project on daily basis.
• Ensures that all PTW required works conducting regarding Company PTW procedures
• Ensure that all HSE risk assessment control measures are performed in a proper way
• Inspect the project under his authority regularly in daily basis to ensure that all works conducted in a safe way
• Reporting any incidents that happens in his project such as : Unsafe acts, Unsafe conditions, Near-misses or Accidents
• Has a right to stop unsafe works or nonconformity works against project HSE plan, company procedures or HSE standards
• Supervise and lead the subcontractors HSE officers.
• Record HSE key performance indicators monthly and issue HSE reports.

Qualifications

Qualification & Education :

Education : A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental Science, or Safety).

Required the below essential certificates : -

NEBOSH IGC

ISO 45001 and 14001

Years of Experience : From 5 to 7 Years of experience with the required scope as mentioned below : -

TAQA approved HSE Engineer

UAE HSE Experience

Power substation and overhead transmission lines experience

Language : English.

Computer Skills : MS office.
