Job Description

Hostess at Ciel Dubai Marina, you will be the first point of contact for every guest, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. With a warm, professional, and engaging demeanor, you will ensure each guest feels genuinely welcomed from the moment they arrive. Your role is pivotal in managing reservations, coordinating seating, and maintaining smooth communication between the front-of-house and service teams. You will embody the elegance and sophistication of the Ciel brand, creating a memorable first impression that reflects the venue’s world-class hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome and escort guests to tables with professionalism and warmth.
  • Manage table assignments and reservation systems efficiently to optimize seating flow.
  • Maintain clear communication with the restaurant management, servers, and kitchen staff.
  • Handle guest inquiries (in person and via phone/email) promptly and courteously.
  • Keep track of guest preferences, VIP details, and special occasions in the CRM or POS system.
  • Support daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring the host stand and menus are presentable.
  • Collaborate with marketing and PR teams during special events and activations at Ciel.
  • Uphold hygiene, grooming, and uniform standards consistent with Ciel’s brand image.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a fine-dining or luxury hospitality environment.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English; additional languages are an asset.

  • Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable, Oracle Micros).

  • Polished presentation, poise under pressure, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
