Job description

The Furniture Carpenter is responsible for building, installing, and repairing furniture made from wood, plywood, laminate, and other materials. This includes everything from chairs and tables to wardrobes, cabinets, and custom pieces. The job requires excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, and knowledge of carpentry tools and techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Study drawings, blueprints, or design plans for furniture making.
• Select and cut raw materials such as wood, MDF, plywood, or laminate.
• Shape materials using hand tools or woodworking machines (e.g., saws, drills, sanders).
• Assemble furniture parts using nails, screws, adhesives, or dowels.
• Install hardware such as hinges, locks, and handles.
• Finish surfaces by sanding, polishing, painting, or varnishing.
• Repair or refurbish damaged furniture.
• Ensure safety and quality standards in every product.
