Head of Operations/Operation Manager

Our client, a fast-growing fine art transportation company, seeks a Head of Operations / Operations Manager for its new office in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role leads a small team focused on planning, scheduling, and fine art handling while reporting to the Global Head of Operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and scheduling of art transport, installations, crating, and storage operations, optimizing routes and timelines for air, sea, and local freight.
• Regularly review logistics workflows and procedures to optimize cost and effectiveness.
• Develop and enforce logistics policies, guidelines, and procedures to support continuous improvement.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and compliance with UAE regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in operations management, with proven expertise in fine art handling, logistics, or transportation; experience at auction houses, galleries, or similar firms essential.
• Leadership experience managing small teams in fast-paced environments; UAE/Middle East logistics knowledge advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination and effective reporting to senior leadership.
