About The Position
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking a Head of Lighting, Video & SFXto join theresort’s Entertainment Administrationteam.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Lighting,Videoand SFX Department.Complete performance reviews.Hire and train new employees.
- Lead the team inestablishingand maintaining the safe and consistent operations of all lighting,videoand SFX systems for each performance.
- Support the production team byassistingwith the planning and strategy of the load-in and the creative / rehearsal process of the production.
- Ensure adherence to the lighting design in collaboration with the Lighting Designer.
- Develop the strategy and planning for the lighting, video and SFX systems installation, safety,trainingand operation.
- Oversee the operations of all moving lights,follow spots, special effects,lasersand video systems,
- Oversee the crew in the performance of show cues and operation of show cue tracks.
- Install, assemble, hang, and repair lighting fixtures and special effects systems.
- Document,monitorand update lighting, video and SFX systems installation specifications, inventory of materials and equipment and all pertinent inspection and maintenance records.
- Monitor all lighting, video and SFX systems and provide adequate oversight and supervision tomaintaina safe environment.
- Participate in theon-goingdevelopment of an inspectionof the lighting,videoand SFX system installations.
- Support the performers at all timesby assisting and guiding their interaction with all show elements and technical staff.
- Support the Executive Director of Technical Operations in creating an atmosphere that maximizes productivity and minimizes costs.
- Produce yearly department budgets. Manage the department’s budgets and capital expense projections and oversee the supply,replacementand inventory of consumables.
About You
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience as Head of Lighting for a large‑scale theatrical or production show.
- Experience with a wide variety of modern theatrical lighting fixtures, lighting control, specialeffectsand video systems, as it pertains to operation, installation, use and troubleshooting.Equipment to include: ETC dimmers, ETC NET, Grand MA3and all conventional and automated fixtures.
- Experience and knowledge of GFCI safety systems isrequired.
- Must be able to manage staff and perform under pressure as well as managelogistics.
- Must have the ability to create,implementand work within fiscal budgets.
- Must be highly organized and be able to function in a stressful environment.
- Must be able to manage,prioritizeand complete multiple tasksin a timely manner.
- Must have the ability to produce high quality work in a limitedtime frame.
