To power this next phase, we are hiring a Head of Commercial & Merchandise Planning, a strategic and commercially minded leader who can bring clarity, pace, and rigour across sales, planning, pricing, demand forecasting, and financial performance.

This role sits at the centre of the business, shaping commercial direction, aligning cross‑functional teams, and enabling decisions that impact growth, margin, inventory health, and long‑term sustainability. We’re looking for a builder: someone who combines analytical sharpness with commercial instinct, not afraid to roll up their sleeves, challenge the status quo, and drive outcomes that truly move the needle.

What You Will Lead
Commercial Strategy & Growth

Develop and execute commercial plans that facilitate category and marketplace growth through robust margins, optimised inventory management and wallet share.

Analyse market, customer, and competitor trends to guide priorities and identify risks or opportunities.

Demand Planning & Forecasting

Lead the complete demand planning cycle with aligned cross‑functional inputs.

Produce accurate, data‑led forecasts that support inventory health and financial visibility.

Pricing & Profitability

Own pricing strategy, competitive benchmarking, and price‑match governance.

Balance competitiveness and margin through structured pricing and trade investment optimisation.

Integrated Business Planning (IBP)

Support and facilitate annual and monthly IBP processes to ensure cross‑functional alignment.

Set targets, manage budgets, assess ROI, and present clear recommendations to leadership.

Who You Are

A commercially minded, analytical leader who influences across functions and drives clarity in complex environments.

Experienced in partnering with senior stakeholders and translating insights into actionable commercial plans.

Strong in relationship-building, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of leadership experience in establishing a function encompassing commercial planning, merchandise planning, FP&A, forecasting or related fields.
  • Proven experience in commercial strategy, forecasting, pricing, budgeting or performance analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain or related fields.
  • Master’s degree (MSc, MBA) preferred but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and modelling capabilities across forecasting, budgeting and performance reporting with proficiency in Power BI and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with tools such as SAP IBP, JDA, TM1 highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communicator with strong influencing skills and the ability to present data‑driven insights clearly.
