Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Grade 4 Elementary Teacherto join our dedicated team as maternity cover from February 2026 until June 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is passionate about Elementary education and is eager to contribute to the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and interactive Elementary lessons to high school students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to inspire a love for Elementary and foster critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Ensuring continuity in the delivery of curriculum content.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.

Skills

Successful candidate will need:

• A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching Elementary, preferably within an American/IB curriculum school.
• Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning and hands-on education.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• A strong desire to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students.
