Overview

We are seeking an exceptional, sales-driven, and technology-savvy General Manager to lead and aggressively grow our commercial and operational presence across the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region. Based in Abu Dhabi, this critical senior role requires significant executive presence, a proven history of driving substantial revenue growth in the technology sector, and a deep, practical understanding of the diverse MEA market. The General Manager will assume full responsibility for growing revenue, acquiring new customers, market strategy, and team leadership, while ensuring a smooth succession from the current General Manager to maintain strategic continuity.

The GM MEA will report directly to the Regional VP for EMEAI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership & Revenue Accountability
  • Regional Performance Management: Hold full accountability for the financial performance of the MEA region, including achieving ambitious revenue targets, managing budgets, and optimizing operational costs.
  • Succession & Transition: Execute a strategic transition plan, working closely with the outgoing General Manager to seamlessly take over regional leadership, key client relationships, and commercial operations.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the comprehensive regional strategy for sales, market entry, partner & channel development, talent acquisition, and operational excellence across the diverse MEA landscape.
  • Investor relationships: Maintain and develop relationships with our Key Investors in the region, Saudi Aramco and Alpha Wave.
  • Revenue Generation & Sales Focus
  • Accelerate Sales Growth: Directly lead the regional sales function, setting aggressive targets and driving the execution of the sales strategy to maximize market share expansion.
  • Executive Sponsorship & Closure: Personally lead, negotiate, and secure high-value, strategic deals with key enterprise clients, channel partners, and government entities, leveraging strong executive presence.
  • Pipeline and Forecasting: Ensure robust sales pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and the implementation of best-in-class sales methodologies, like the use of the MEDDIC framework.
  • Market Expansion & Executive Presence
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the most senior representative of the company in the region, fostering deep, trust-based relationships with industry leaders, C-level customer-, and senior government officials.
  • New Market Entry: Strategically identify, assess, and execute profitable entry into new, high-potential markets within the African and Middle Eastern landscapes.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Champion the company's vision and value proposition at major industry events, conferences, and executive forums.
  • Technology Fluency & Team Development
    • Technology Acumen: Possess a detailed, practical understanding of the company’s technology, its product roadmap, and how it translates into critical business value for customers in the region.
    • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing, sales-driven regional team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer-centricity.
    • Operational Excellence: Oversee all regional operational functions, including legal, compliance, and human resources, ensuring alignment with global standards and local regulations.
Required Qualifications

Minimum of 15 years in senior general management roles within the technology sector in the region, with at least 10 years focused on the MEA region. Proven track record of exceeding multi-million dollar revenue and sales targets.

Experience
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional ability to interact, negotiate, and present to C-level executives, senior government officials, and key investors.
  • Technology Fluency: Deep, practical knowledge of emerging technologies relevant to the company's sector and the ability to articulate complex solutions to both technical and business audiences.
Location

UAE resident. Must be willing to be based in Abu Dhabi.

Education

Master’s degree (MBA preferred) or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Technology, Engineering).
