Driven to create unique home‑grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE‑based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella – SALT, Parker’s, Grind, Somewhere, Public, Soil, Shalwa and Kumo.

We are presently seeking to hire a highly qualified Franchise QA Supervisor ensures the company’s products and processes meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards, and also ensures that franchise locations comply with INDPT quality standards and operational procedures. This role involves supervising the compliance team, conducting audits (of franchisees), developing quality assurance policies, and collaborating with departments to ensure continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Leadership:
    • Lead and supervise the compliance team, providing guidance, training, and support.
    • Schedule and manage yearly compliance audits and inspections within the UAE branches and franchise network.
    • Follow‑up on monthly reports and franchisee KPIs to ensure compliance with company standards.
    • Ensure team adherence to all quality assurance and compliance protocols.
  • Compliance Management:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and compliance policies and procedures for franchise operations.
    • Ensure all products meet regulatory and company standards at the franchise level.
    • Monitor and report on compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., UAE requirements, KSA requirements, GCC, HACCP and ISO22000).
    • Monitor franchise adherence to regulatory and company standards, including health and safety regulations.
  • Auditing and Inspection:
    • Plan and conduct internal audit and franchisees audits.
    • Document audit findings, prepare reports, and ensure timely corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
    • Ensure raw material and ingredient food safety approval at the franchise level.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify areas for improvement in quality assurance processes and franchise operation and implement solutions.
    • Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and root causes of non‑compliance at franchise locations.
    • Lead or participate in cross‑functional teams to drive quality and compliance initiatives.
    • Ensure all CPU and branches are HACCP certified and maintain the certification.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of compliance activities.
    • Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports on compliance status and performance metrics.
    • Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements and INDPT standards.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or compliance, preferably in the multi‑unit retail, restaurant, or franchise industry.
  • Proven experience in conducting audits and managing compliance programs.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience within a quality assurance or compliance function.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and understanding of relevant industry regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in quality assurance (HACCP Level 4, ISO 22000 Lead auditor)
  • In‑depth understanding of industry‑specific regulations and standards relevant to franchise operations.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
