Job description

Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella – SALT, Parker’s, Grind, Somewhere, Public, Soil, Shalwa and Kumo.

We are presently seeking to hire a highly qualified Franchise QA Officer supports the quality assurance team in ensuring that franchise locations comply with INDPT quality standards and operational procedures. This role involves conducting audits of franchisees, assisting in the implementation of quality assurance policies, and collaborating with franchise operations teams to ensure continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Support and Execution
    • Assist in scheduling and conducting yearly compliance audits and inspections within the UAE branches and franchise network.
    • Conduct follow-ups on monthly reports and franchisee KPIs to ensure compliance with company standards.
    • Ensure personal adherence to all quality assurance and compliance protocols.
  • Compliance Management
    • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance and compliance policies and procedures for franchise operations.
    • Ensure all products meet regulatory and company standards at the franchise level.
    • Monitor and report on compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
    • Monitor franchise adherence to regulatory and company standards, including health and safety regulations.
  • Auditing and Inspection
    • Conduct franchisees audits.
    • Document audit findings, prepare reports, and ensure timely corrective actions.
    • Support during external audits and regulatory agency inspections.
    • Ensure raw material and ingredient food safety approval at the franchise level.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Identify areas for improvement in quality assurance processes and franchise operation and suggest solutions.
    • Assist in analyzing quality data and metrics to identify trends and root causes of non-compliance at franchise locations.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive quality and compliance initiatives.
    • Ensure all CPU and branches are HACCP certified and maintain the certification.
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities.
    • Prepare reports on compliance status and performance metrics for review.
    • Ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements and INDPT standards.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or compliance, preferably in the multi-unit retail, restaurant, or franchise industry.
  • Proven experience in conducting audits and supporting compliance programs.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies and understanding of relevant industry regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in quality assurance (HACCP Level 4, ISO 22000 Lead auditor)
  • In-depth understanding of industry-specific regulations and standards relevant to franchise operations.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficient in using quality management software and tools.
