Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman - Carpenter to join our bridge construction team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our organization you will lead and oversee carpentry operations for complex bridge construction projects ensuring high-quality workmanship safety compliance and timely project completion.

  • Supervise and coordinate carpentry teams on bridge construction sites
  • Interpret blueprints technical drawings and project specifications
  • Plan and organize daily work schedules for carpentry crews
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards
  • Operate and maintain construction equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with project managers engineers and other trade professionals
  • Monitor and report on project progress identifying and resolving issues promptly
  • Manage inventory and order materials as required
  • Train and mentor junior carpenters promoting skill development
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections
  • Ensure compliance with local construction regulations and building codes

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in carpentry with at least 3 years specifically in bridge construction
  • Proven supervisory experience in leading carpentry teams
  • Expert knowledge of carpentry techniques tools and materials
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of bridge construction methods and structural engineering principles
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate construction equipment safely
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry preferred
  • OSHA certification required
  • Familiarity with construction industry regulations and standards
  • Ability to work in challenging outdoor environments and at heights
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends when necessary
