As a Food Safety & Hygiene Manager, your role involves implementing and overseeing programs to ensure the hotel complies with corporate, federal, and local sanitation, food safety, health & safety, and environmental standards. You will drive and coordinate the implementation of EHS & HACCP programs, working closely with relevant authorities to achieve continuous improvement in the hotel's performance.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and annually review Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) & HACCP manuals, ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain the EHS management system in accordance with standards, providing regular reports and improvement recommendations to top management.
  • Implement effective programs to protect the environment, foster a "zero incident" safety culture, and enhance safety in the hotel.
  • Lead or participate in various EHS/HACCP compliance audits, offering guidance on conformance and corrective actions.
  • Set audit requirements to ensure compliance with food safety, occupational safety, and environmental regulations, evaluating results, communicating trends, and establishing action plans.
  • Participate in accident investigations, document root causes, communicate results, and set corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Assess colleagues training needs, develop materials, and conduct training programs as necessary.
  • Audit suppliers/contractors to ensure compliance with local EHS & HACCP standards, communicating results and implementing corrective actions.
  • Report monthly/quarterly performance and hotel progress to sector regulatory authorities regarding EHS management system implementation.
  • Monitor changes in local EHS/HACCP regulations, updating internal procedures, policies, and forms accordingly.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections to safeguard colleagues health, safety, and minimize environmental impact, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage and control all EHSMS & HACCP-related documents, including manuals, policies, procedures, and logs.
  • Coordinate the obtainment and renewal of safety/environmental/HACCP certifications and licenses.
  • Develop and oversee the HACCP/EHS hotel budget, identifying requirements through risk assessments, site inspection reports, audits, and hotel targets.
  • Adhere to the company’s environmental, health, and safety procedures and policies.
