Job summary

A leading utility provider in Dubai is looking for an experienced Firefighter to supervise firefighting operations and conduct training. Candidates must have a high school diploma, be fluent in English, and possess NFPA Certification. A minimum of 5 years of firefighting experience is required. The role includes maintaining records, participating in safety drills, and ensuring equipment readiness. Accommodation and transportation will be provided.

  1. Age must be 45 and below.
  2. Must be at least high school passed, fluent in English and able to read, write and speak. Must be able to maintain records.
  3. Must be NFPA Certified (NFPA 1/NFPA 2 and Level 2 HAZMAT awareness).
  4. Minimum 5 years of experience in Firefighting.
  5. Must be physically and mentally fit and well‑motivated.
  6. Must be familiar and experienced in Fire Fighting and supervising the firefighters including Rescue & with valid First Aider certificate.
  7. Must be knowledgeable in preventive maintenance and inspection of firefighting equipment/appliances and ensure its dependability and operational readiness.
  8. Must be able to perform fire watch duty and responsibilities before, during and after the conduct of hot work and provide suitable firefighting equipment required in the hot work permit and bring back the said equipment at the end of the hot work.
  9. Supervise the firefighters who provide firefighting equipment or other alternative arrangements during impairment of vital fixed fire detection and suppression system.
  10. Must participate in mock fire and evacuation drills and other exercises.
  11. Must exercise loss control measures (reducing or eliminating loss and damage during and after the fire) to avoid unnecessary damage to or loss of property during fire.
  12. Must maintain all necessary records/register related to periodical inspection, testing and maintenance of firefighting equipment and submit related documents for perusal of the Manager‑Fire.
  13. Must understand and follow Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Security Procedures strictly while performing duties without creating any situation that may compromise the safety of others which can lead to unsafe situations.
  14. Must communicate verbally using Walkie‑talkie and telephone properly without displaying negative behavior such as loud, strong voice/message which may create potential argument.
  15. Must work in shifts and extended hours, staff and customers.
  16. Strictly follow the Supervisors' duties and responsibilities as per agreement.
  17. Must give awareness and refresher training to the firefighters as required.
