Financial Controller

Our client is a fast-scaling, investor-backed company operating across the GCC. Backed by institutional capital and led by an ambitious leadership team, the business is entering a phase of rapid growth, international expansion and increasing financial complexity.

They are now hiring a Financial Controller to build a world-class finance function, bring discipline to reporting, and act as a commercial partner to the CEO and investors.

This is a high-impact role for someone who has trained in a Big 4 environment and wants to move into an operating business where they can genuinely shape how finance is run.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reporting

• Own the monthly close, ensuring accurate, timely and audit-ready financials
• Prepare management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and cash-flow reporting
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulatory requirements
• Manage the external audit process and relationships with auditors and advisors

Commercial Finance & Growth Support

• Partner with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning
• Analyse performance vs budget and provide clear, data-driven insights
• Build financial models for new products, markets and investment cases
• Support pricing, unit economics and margin optimisation

Investor & Board Reporting

• Produce high-quality board packs and investor reporting
• Support VC / PE stakeholders with financial transparency, KPI tracking and covenant reporting
• Assist with due diligence, fundraising and M&A processes when required

Systems, Controls & Scale

• Improve and automate finance processes as the business scales
• Implement stronger financial controls, policies and procedures
• Oversee ERP, accounting systems and reporting tools
• Build and develop a high-performing finance team over time

Background

• Trained in a Big 4 audit or advisory firm (Manager or strong Senior level ideal)
• Experience in a VC-backed, PE-owned, or fast-growth commercial environment highly preferred
• ACA / ACCA / CPA qualified (or equivalent)

Technical Strengths

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial controls
• Proven experience running month-end close and management reporting
• Confident building financial models, budgets and forecasts
