Job description

We are seeking a handson and experienced Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily fabrication operations manage a team of skilled workers and ensure production targets and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in metal fabrication processes excellent leadership skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daytoday activities in the fabrication department ensuring optimal productivity and quality.

• Assign tasks monitor performance and support a team of welders fabricators machine operators and helpers.

• Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and work orders to guide fabrication processes.

• Ensure fabricated components meet design specifications and quality standards.

• Coordinate with other departments such as engineering quality control and logistics to meet project requirements.

• Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs.

• Enforce compliance with safety procedures company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Train mentor and evaluate staff to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.

• Troubleshoot issues related to materials equipment or processes to minimize downtime.

• Maintain accurate records of production output material usage labor hours and equipment maintenance.

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Fabrication Welding Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• 35 years of experience in a supervisory role within a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment.

• Strong understanding of welding cutting bending and assembly techniques.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

• Proficient in using fabrication tools and equipment.

• Excellent leadership communication and problemsolving skills.

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality control processes.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with CNC machinery and automated fabrication systems.

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.

• Familiarity with ERP or production management systems.
