Overview

The Emergency Room (ER) Nurse provides critical and emergency care to patients in a fastpaced highpressure environment. This role involves assessing patients administering treatments monitoring vital signs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. The ER Nurse is expected to respond promptly to emergency situations manage trauma and acute conditions and prioritize patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity levels.
  • Perform initial patient evaluations including historytaking physical examination and vital signs monitoring.
  • Administer medications treatments and emergency interventions as per physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Monitor patients for changes in condition and promptly report findings to the medical team.
  • Collaborate with physicians paramedics and other healthcare professionals to provide quality patient care.
  • Document patient information accurately and timely in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment such as cardiac monitors defibrillators and ventilators.
  • Educate patients and families on medical conditions discharge instructions and followup care.
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment adhering to infection control standards and safety protocols.
  • Participate in continuing education and emergency response training as required.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associate or Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in State/Region.
  • Certifications: BLS ACLS and PALS certifications required.
