Job summary

A leading healthcare service provider in Dubai seeks an Emergency Medical Technician to deliver high-quality patient care. The role involves performing duties safely and professionally, supporting fellow EMT staff, and maintaining competence in required skills and medications. Candidates should have an academic diploma in EMS or a nursing degree, be licensed as a DCAS EMT, and hold valid BLS and trauma certificates. This position does not require prior experience for eligible national graduates.

Qualifications

  • Internationally or nationally recognized academic diploma in EMS or Bachelor’s in nursing.
  • Licensed as DCAS Emergency Medical Technician.
  • Valid BLS and Trauma Certificate.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Deliver high quality patient care in accordance with DCAS CPGs as per EMT level.
  • Performs all duties in a safe, confidential, and professional manner, always considering the well-being of the patient.
  • Follow detailed and defined procedures, instructions, and manuals to make appropriate decisions related to patients care.
  • Perform Field orientation, support and encourages fellow new EMT staff as needed.
  • Maintain competency in all skills and medications identified in DCAS EMT Skills and medication matrix.
  • Take lead of patient management in absence of higher skilled staff.
  • Clean and disinfect the ambulance cabin and its contents and medical equipment before receiving the shift and after each patients transfer, in compliance with the occupational health and safety instructions in this regard.
Qualifications
  • Internationally /Nationally recognized Academic Diploma in EMS OR bachelor’s in nursing.
  • Licensed as DCAS Emergency Medical Technician, national graduate applicants are exempted.
  • Valid BLS & a Trauma Certificate (PHTLS or ITLS).
Experiences
  • Bachelor’s in nursing with minimum 2 years’ experience in ambulance or 3 years in emergency department or intensive care unit (Emirati are exempted).
  • Academic Diploma in EMS with 2 years’ experience in Ambulance Operations for International Applicants, national graduate applicants are exempted.
