Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising all electrical systems and installations for construction and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects. The role requires strong technical expertise, design proficiency, and on‑site supervision experience to ensure all electrical works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and UAE regulatory standards (DEWA/ADDC). The ideal candidate will coordinate between design, site, and project teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of all electrical works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and plan electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and low‑current systems, ensuring compliance with international and local codes.
  • Review and prepare technical drawings, shop drawings, and as‑built plans for accuracy, compliance, and constructability before execution.
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical works on‑site in accordance with approved designs, safety, and quality standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with TAQA, DEWA, ADDC, and other relevant authority regulations; prepare and submit documentation for approvals.
  • Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and circuit design to ensure proper functionality and system efficiency.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, mechanical engineers, and subcontractors to resolve design or installation conflicts.
  • Inspect electrical materials and equipment upon delivery to verify compliance with specifications and approved submittals.
  • Prepare technical submittals, method statements, and inspection requests (IRs) for consultant and client approvals.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with company HSE policies and electrical safety procedures.
  • Prepare detailed reports including testing documentation, progress updates, and material tracking logs.
  • Assist in BOQ preparation and cost estimation, reviewing supplier quotations for cost‑effective solutions.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting during project execution and post‑installation phases.
  • Attend site meetings and coordination sessions with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical or operational issues.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of hands‑on experience in construction or MEP projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of electrical design principles, load calculations, and protective device coordination.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, and other electrical design software.
    • Thorough knowledge of DEWA, ADDC, and related authority submission procedures.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple site tasks, meet deadlines, and lead on‑site teams.
  • Quality & Safety: Solid understanding of ISO standards, HSE regulations, and electrical safety protocols.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client, consultant, and internal coordination.
  • License: Valid UAE driving license is mandatory for project and site coordination.
  • Personal Attributes: Organized, analytical, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently under minimal supervision.
