Reports to: Head of Editorial and Content Strategy
Roles and Responsibilities
- Aid and offer ideas for the development of new print and digital editorial projects including workshops, fellowships, publications, podcasts, videos and blog items
- Coordinate, brainstorm and produce editorial projects as per the content strategy
- Write, edit, develop, coordinate and help publish content across the Foundation’s print and digital platforms, including its website and social media
- Work with the editorial and content strategy team, as well as across publications, learning, design and multimedia, curatorial and communication departments in the Foundation to develop and execute the content strategy
- Help maintain a consistent tone, language, format of content projects produced for the Foundation
- Work with external partner organisations to help execute projects for the Foundation
Qualifications, Experience and skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English Language, Literature or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in editorial, publishing, content creation.
- Proven experience producing and editing content for both print and digital platforms.
- Previous experience working in cultural institutions, museums, or arts organizations (preferred).
- Strong written and verbal skills in British English, with attention to grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Skill in writing and editing different types of writing and editing.
- Skill in understanding tone, format, language, ideas communicated across different print and digital platforms.
- Skill in using Microsoft Word, including Markup, and Outlook.
- High level of concentration and attention to detail.
- Methodical and well-organised approach to work.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Ability to work with colleagues with different levels of English proficiency.
- Tact and diplomacy in working with others.
Working conditions
Working hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Before Sharjah Biennials and other major exhibitions and events, additional work may be required.
