Job Profile

Job Objective

The advanced-level Economist is responsible for comprehensive management and control of the economic aspects of oil and petroleum product transactions, including maintaining full transaction records, calculating associated costs, and preparing P&L reports. The primary goal is to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial calculations, timely reconciliation of accounts receivable and payable with counterparties, and financial analysis of each deal.

The Economist works with large volumes of data, performs analytical work, creates data structures for further analysis, and provides key data to support decision-making. This role requires a high level of knowledge in managerial accounting, the specifics of oil transactions, and the ability to adapt effectively to changes in market conditions and regulatory frameworks. The jobs objective is to ensure optimal management of the economic aspects of transactions and improve the efficiency of financial processes in a fast‑paced and high‑pressure work environment.

Key Responsibilities
