Job Description
The Global Markets (Director Level) Trader is responsible for executing trades across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and commodities. This role involves monitoring market trends, developing and executing trading strategies, and managing risk within the firm’s established guidelines. The trader will work closely with senior traders and the risk management team to ensure optimal trade execution and contribute to the trading desk's overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Trade Execution:
- Execute trades across global markets with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor real-time market data to identify trading opportunities.
- Use trading platforms and tools to analyze market conditions and execute trades accordingly.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct market analysis to support trading decisions, using quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Develop and refine trading strategies in collaboration with senior traders.
- Stay informed about macroeconomic trends, geopolitical events, and market developments that impact trading activities.
- Adhere to the firm's risk management policies, ensuring that all trades are within established risk parameters.
- Monitor and manage risk exposure on trades, making adjustments as necessary to minimize losses.
- Report any unusual trading activity or market conditions to senior traders and risk management.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with senior traders and other team members to optimize trading strategies and desk performance.
- Communicate trade ideas and market insights to the team and contribute to daily strategy meetings.
- Liaise with the sales and client services teams to provide market updates and trading support for clients.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all trading activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Maintain accurate records of trades and related documentation as required by regulatory bodies.
- Participate in compliance training and stay updated on regulatory changes affecting global markets.
Professional Development:
- Continuously enhance trading skills and market knowledge through ongoing education and training.
- Seek feedback from senior traders and mentors to improve performance.
- Stay up to date with the latest trading technologies, platforms, and market research.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in global markets trading or a related role.
- Experience with trading across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, FX, or commodities.
- Familiarity with trading platforms, financial modeling, and market analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret market data and trends.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and software (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in trade execution.
