Job summary

A global engineering firm based in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Commissioning Superintendent (Telecom) with at least 20 years of relevant experience, particularly in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have offshore site experience and a strong background in commissioning sour gas and hydrogen production projects. Responsibilities include overseeing commissioning activities, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with contractual documents.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of twenty (20) years of relevant experience in commissioning/operation readiness.
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a similar position in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects.
  • Experience in commissioning sour gas, Hydrogen production, Hydro-desulfurization projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to his commissioning Team and EPC contractor.
  • Coordinate with Licensors and Vendors for commissioning activities.
  • Review pre-commissioning and commissioning Procedures.

KBR is looking for a Commissioning Superintendent (Telecom) with Offshore Site experience in MEGA EPC projects to be based in Abu Dhabi for PMC project.

Experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is a MUST.
  • Having a minimum of twenty (20) years of relevant experience in the commissioning / operation readiness position with experience in GCC region as preference.
  • Must have at least (5) years of experience in a similar position in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical projects with preference of commissioning sour gas, Hydrogen production, Hydro-desulfurization projects.
  • Sales gas & Condensate Commissioning Lead shall provide guidance to his commissioning Team, EPC contractor, Sub-Contractors within his area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate with Licensors and Vendors to ensure close monitoring of commissioning activities are within Licensors and Vendors guiding procedures.
  • Responsible for the progress of commissioning activities of sales gas and Condensate area.
  • Review pre-commissioning and commissioning Procedures. Provide the required advice and support for Sr. Commissioning Manager a. Review commissioning manuals issued by EPC Contractor or Vendors. Verify mechanical completion certificates requirements for various systems and subsystems.
  • Participate in commissioning meetings and other related meetings.
  • Participate in troubleshooting analysis to resolve commissioning obstacles.
  • Verify the readiness of systems/subsystems for MC and RFSU certificates issuance.
  • Monitor and approve the close out of punch lists in his area.
  • To ensure completion and handover methodology is proceeding in compliance with related contractual documents.
