Job summary

An iconic international fast-food brand is seeking a Chief Accountant in Dubai, with responsibilities including financial data consolidation and statutory schedule preparation. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Accounting or Finance and a Chartered Chief Accountant certification, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the QSR/F&B/FMCG industries. Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and tools such as SAP and Oracle is essential.

Job Description:

• Consolidate and update financial data for assigned SBUs; analyze trial balances, investigate unusual entries, prepare and validate variance reports, and submit monthly updates to the Financial Reporting Manager while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare and review statutory financial schedules and disclosures; coordinate with auditors during interim/year-end audits, address audit queries, and resolve management letter points.
• Review and reconcile GL accounts, ensure compliance with accounting standards, perform monthly bank reconciliations, and propose adjustments or clean-up activities.
• Summarize key transactions, validate insights for the Finance Head, and drive enhancements in reporting accuracy, detail, and process efficiency.
