Qualifications

Job Description

• Demonstrate compassion and effective active listening skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to discuss with mother and family the benefits of breastfeeding for mother and baby
• Assist mothers during newborn care, feeding techniques, and self‑care
• Assess the condition of the mother and baby immediately after birth
• Provide care for the mother and baby during the initial postpartum period
• Monitor the mother and baby for any complications during the postpartum period
• Provide education and support to the mother and her family during the postpartum period
