BlackStone eIT is at the forefront of technological innovation, and we are seeking a Banner SIS Technical professional to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical implementation, maintenance, and support of the Banner Student Information System (SIS). Your expertise will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our clients can efficiently manage their student information and associated processes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the implementation and configuration of Banner SIS solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Provide technical support to clients, assisting with issues related to Banner SIS and system integrations.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to understand and define student information processes and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to technical specifications, system configurations, and support procedures.
  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure system integrity and performance.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements for optimal functionality.
  • Assist in the training of end-users on system functionalities and best practices.
  • Stay current with software updates and industry trends to provide informed recommendations to clients.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 - 10 years as a Banner SIS Technical Consultant.
  • Banner SIS Technical Knowledge: Strong expertise in Banner (Version 9) modules and add on components technical areas - Admissions, Student Records, Registration, Scheduling, Academic History, Academic Advising, Graduation, Banner Accounts Receivable, Banner Self Services, Degree Works, Courseleaf CMS etc.
  • Hands‑on experience in system configuration, customization (using Page Builder , Banner Extensibility , .NET etc..), workfows, business rules, and automation.
  • Strong Proficiency in Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and data management.
  • Skilled in programming/scripting: PL/SQL, .NET Core, Python, Oracle Forms ; experience with Banner Extensibility Framework (BEF).
  • Integration Knowledge: Understanding of Banner integrations with Degree Works, Blackboard Ultra LMS, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, Courseleaf Curriculum Management system , Class Scheduling , Exam Scheduling and other systems; familiarity with integration tools and data interfaces.
  • Expertise in reporting and analytics using Argos, Jasper Reports, Power BI, Oracle Reports, SAP Business Objects, and custom SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of data security, compliance, audit logs, and access controls for student information.
  • Experience with Banner SaaS migration, upgrade, re‑engineering of integrations and implementation
  • Experience in version upgrades, new feature/functionality/module implementations, change management, user training, and documentation.
  • Strong skills in performance monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with Ellucian and third‑party vendors for support, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills
  • Beneficial Certifications: Ellucian Banner certifications, Agile SCRUM, PMP, ITIL Foundation etc
