Job summary

A leading industrial automation company in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced engineer to develop PLC programs and configure HMI/SCADA systems. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial automation and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Candidates should have strong skills in PLC programming languages and system integration. This is a full-time position with no remote work options.

Qualifications

Job description
Overall responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team in Industrial Automation and provide expertise in Automation Programming and design and configure HMI / SCADA screens.
  • Develop and implement PLC programs for industrial automation systems.
  • Handle the team in installation and commissioning of PLC systems ensuring proper integration with other equipment.
Day to day responsibilities
  • Develop and implement PLC programs for industrial automation systems.
  • Design and configure HMI / SCADA screens for operator control and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and specifications for PLC programming projects.
  • Troubleshoot and debug PLC programs to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct testing and validation of PLC programs to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance and operations teams regarding PLC systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancement sin PLC technology and recommend improvement to existing systems.
  • Create and maintain documentation for PLC programs including program logic wiring diagrams and user manuals.
  • Handle the team in installation and commissioning of PLC systems ensuring proper integration with other equipment.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source and procure necessary hardware and software for PLC projects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical Instrumentation or Mechatronics) with sufficient experience (05 Years) in the related field / industry. Affinity and familiar with Engineering Procurement and Contracting aspects in the business both onshore and offshore power & utility sector.

  • Experience level: 05 years / 03 years or more experience UAE or Middle East
  • Proven experience in industrial automation engineering and system integration
  • Excellent knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) code.
  • Has a working knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • HSE compliance and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
Skills & Professional Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages such as ladder logic structure text and function block diagram
  • Proficiency in programming software platform such as SIEMENS Allen-Bradely and Schneider.
  • Experience in designing and implementing PLC control systems for industrial automation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug PLC programs and hardware component.
  • Knowledge of configuration and programming automation and controls systems involving DCS HMI or SCADA systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols
