Job description

Provision and configure voice systems, including VoIP phones, softphones, and unified communications tools.

  • Assign and manage phone numbers, extensions, voicemail, and call routing features.
  • Maintain accurate records of user voice configurations and update system inventory documentation.
  • Troubleshoot voice-related issues during user onboarding and provide first-level technical support.
  • Monitor performance of voice systems and escalate complex issues to senior engineers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with voice security policies and manage user access controls.
  • Support integration of voice services with collaboration platforms (e.g., Avaya, Mitel, Alcatel, Microsoft Teams).

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1+ years of experience in voice engineering, IT support, or related roles.
  • Working knowledge of VoIP technologies such as SIP, RTP, and PBX systems.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Cisco CUCM, Avaya, Mitel, Alcatel, or Microsoft Teams Voice.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple onboarding requests simultaneously.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CompTIA Network+ or equivalent
